Beer Garlic

Butter Prawns

Quick, supper, easy and delicious meals is a topic close to my heart. I love this dish because it does all that, I mean really now! In less than 15 minutes am done and lunch or dinner is served, what more will I be looking for?


500g prawns, deveined
2 Tsp butter, divided
4 cloves of garlic, minced
330 ml beer
1 Tbsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 Tbsp honey
Fresh parsley to serve


1. In a frying pan on a high heat add the 15 ml of butter and cook the prawns for about 2 minutes or until the prawns changes colour to pink. Remove from the pan and set aside.
2. Add the rest of the butter and garlic and cook for 2 minutes, add the rest of the ingredients and let cook uncovered for 8-10 minutes ( the mixture will reduce and thickens)
3. Transfer the prawns back to the pan and cook for further 2 minutes.
I served this dish with rice and the whole family gave me two thumbs up……
