Beer & Bacon
3 Cups self rising flour
1 Tsp salt
2 Tsp sugar
1 x 330 can beer of your choice
250 g bacon, chopped and cooked
1 Cup cheddar cheese, grated
1/4 Cup butter, melted
Preheat the oven at 180°C.
In a medium bowl sift in flour, salt and sugar together. Add the rest beer and mix till moisten. Fold in the bacon and cheese, mix well (do not over mix).
Pour batter into a greased loaf pan and bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes, pour the melted butter over top of the loaf and bake for another 10- 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes then remove from loaf pan.
Serve as a side dish or just like that
